The Brooklyn Museum is in the northeast corner of Prospect Park, adjacent to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. As NYC’s third-largest museum in physical size, the space holds roughly 500,000 objects. The architecture is a beautiful combination of elegance, modern design, and rich history. There are two spaces available for weddings: the Beaux-Arts Court, and the Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavillion and Lobby.

The 10,000 square foot Beaux-Arts Court is two stories high with a 60-foot ceiling and dramatic skylight. It boasts historically rich features including original archways, a large brass chandelier, and an updated glass-tile floor originally finished in 1927. The Beaux-Art Court has modern amenities, getting-ready suits and can accommodate 660 seated guests.

The Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavillion and Lobby were redesigned in 2004 by Polshek Partnership Architects to feature an expansive sheer glass pavilion offering unobstructed views of the museum’s grand welcoming plaza. Brick piers divide the pavilion and lobby artfully melding the old with the new. The ceiling is constructed entirely from glass as well, giving the space a modern and airy ambiance. The Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavillion and Lobby offers getting-ready suits and can accommodate 200 guests for seated dinner and dancing.

The Wythe Hotel

Boathouse + Audubon Center

The Boathouse in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, was erected in 1905 and was one of the first buildings in NYC to be declared a historical landmark.
