It boasts historically rich features including original archways, a large brass chandelier, and an updated glass-tile floor originally finished in 1927. The Beaux-Art Court has modern amenities, getting-ready suits and can accommodate 660 seated guests.
The Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavillion and Lobby were redesigned in 2004 by Polshek Partnership Architects to feature an expansive sheer glass pavilion offering unobstructed views of the museum’s grand welcoming plaza. Brick piers divide the pavilion and lobby artfully melding the old with the new. The ceiling is constructed entirely from glass as well, giving the space a modern and airy ambiance. The Martha A. and Robert S. Rubin Pavillion and Lobby offers getting-ready suits and can accommodate 200 guests for seated dinner and dancing.
